Obrecht, Gary G. (Big O)

       Loving husband, father, son, brother, brother-in-law, uncle and friend, passed away suddenly Friday May 27, 2011.  Age 63 years.

      The son of Josephine (Slama) and the late Glen Obrecht was born May 28, 1947 in Saginaw, Michigan.  He married Mary Janean Goidosik, November 8, 1974. She survives him.  He retired from Eaton Manufacturing.  He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, St. Charles   and the Brant Gun Club. He enjoyed golfing, fishing and having a good time.

      Surviving besides his wife are a daughter and her fiancé, Mary Jo Obrecht and Jeremy Hare; two sisters and their husbands, Bonnie and Rich Hemgesberg; Arlene and Don Pack; His mother-in-law, Jean Goidosik; his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Joe and Gail Goidosik; Jerry and Terri Goidosik; Jeanie and Todd Schafer; several nieces and nephews. A son, Kurt Obrecht, passed away in 2005; his father-in-law, Joseph A. Goidosik, has also predeceased him.

      The funeral liturgy will take place at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 31, 2011, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 708 Sanderson St. St. Charles, MI.  Rev. Todd Arnberg will officiate with cremation to follow. Friends may call at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel, 201 N. Miller Rd. from 2:00-9:00 p.m. Monday and on Tuesday at the Church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral liturgy. www.casefuneralhome.com
