Chase, Mary ‘E. “Libby”

Oakley, Michigan

Passed away peacefully on Monday, June 6, 2011 at home  surrounded by her family.  Age 69 years.  Libby was born on April 5, 1942 in Theresa, NY, the daughter of Joseph and Mary (Davis) Hudson. She married David Chase on Oct. 5, 1963 in La Fargeville, NY before moving back to Michigan where they raised their family.

She is survived by her husband David and their four children, Tami Jo Chase of Aurora, CO, Pamela (Greg) Lackie of Oakley, Grant Chase of Oakley, and Kris (Craig) Dark of Saginaw.  Also surviving are nine grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, four sisters, one brother and their spouses, many nieces and nephews and her mother, Mary Hudson. She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph and a brother, Daniel.

 In following Libby’s wishes cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held on Thursday June 9, 2011  at 1:00 pm at the Walker-Martin Funeral Home, Chesaning. Rev. Leonard Strait will officiate. Friends may call at the funeral home after 12:00 noon on Thursday.
