Survived By: He is survived by his loving friend and companion of 35 years, Martha Favor. His children; Ramona B. (Richard L.) Gareau and Lee (former wife Terry) Bakewell. Grandchildren; Brent and Briana Bakewell and Bridget Kelsy. Step-children; Nancy (John) Favor and Cheri (Allen) Kozlowski. Step-grandchildren, Krysta and Darrin Duffany, Keely and Nick Vacca. Herbert also has two sisters in Bristish Columbia, Ramona Arnone and Beverly (Herb) Holly. Also survived by his beloved pets. Pip Squeak will be united with Teddy and Bo in Heaven.
Affiliations: Mr. Bakewell served in the Royal Canadian Airforce from 11/18/43 1/03/45 then joined the U.S. Marine Corp. to serve in WWII. He is a Marine Veteran and a lifelong member of the Hale Area VFW. He was a retired automatic milling machine operator, a truck driver and a member of the International Brotherhood Teamsters local 247, also an honorable member of UAW-C10 Union Local 250.

HERBERT BAKEWELL of Hale, passed away June 16, 2011 at 85 years of age.

 

He is survived by his loving friend and companion of 35 years, Martha Favor.  His children; Ramona B. (Richard L.) Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 P.M., Tuesday, June 21, 2011 at the Hale Chapel of the Buresh Funeral Homes, 121 S. Washington.  The family will receive friends Tuesday from 11:00 A.M. until the time of service at 1:00 P.M.  Interment along with military honors will follow at the Esmond-Evergreen Cemetery, Rev.
