Reis, Mr. James A.
Thomas Twp., Michigan
Beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away Saturday, June 25, 2011 at Covenant HealthCare-Cooper Campus. Age 79 years. The son of the late John and Amy (Archamboult), James was born on May 7, 1932 in Saginaw, Michigan. He married Kristina Gill July 11, 1991. She survives him. James was employed as a Tool and Die Maker for Allied Tool and Saginaw Steering Gear retiring in 1997. He was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus Council #4232, Swan Valley Athletic Association and UAW Local #699. James enjoyed going to the casino, hunting, fishing, woodworking, reading and golfing.
Surviving besides his wife Kristina are two sons and two daughters, Gerrie (Ted) Easlick, Saginaw; Dave Reis, Saginaw; Cathy Jo Heinlein, Saginaw; David Heinlein, Saginaw; two grandchildren, Michael (Rochelle) Easlick and Elizabeth Easlick; three great-grandchildren, Seth, Sean and Samantha; many dear friends. James was preceded in death by a brother, Raymond Reis.
Funeral Liturgy will take place 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 29, 2011 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Rev. Fr. David Parsch will officiate. Honoring Mr. Reis’s wishes cremation will follow. Friends may call at The Snow Funeral Home, 3775 N. Center Rd., (between Shattuck and McCarty) where the family will be present on Tuesday from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass. Knights of Columbus Council #4232 will pray the Rosary at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Swan Valley Athletic Department or Holy Spirit Catholic Church.
