Phillips, Milton L. of Brant, Michigan passed away Wednesday, September 7, 2011 after a lengthy battle with cancer. Age 73 years. Milton was born October 24, 1937 to William and Daisy (Wilson) Phillips. He married Benita Dianne Levy on January 21, 1956. She preceded him on May 22, 2003. Milton enjoyed fishing and gardening. He retired from the construction trade.

Surviving are his children and spouses, Ruth Ann (Joel) Thomason of Elsie, Deborah (Rick) Nohel of Chesaning, Rodney (Shawna) Phillips of Coopersville, Douglas Phillips of Bannister, Larry (Pam) Phillips of Chesaning, Kevin Phillips of Brant, Patricia (Ron) Rabie of Lake, Cheryl (Gary) Pretzer of Brant and Rich Phillips of Brant; 11 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; two brothers, Virgil Phillips and Harold Phillips. He was predeceased by four sisters, Esther, Grace, Dorothy and Elizabeth; three brothers, Willard, Wesley and Thomas; and a grandson, Christopher Thomason.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 10, 2011 at Kendall Funeral Home, St. Charles. Burial will follow in Marion Township Cemetery. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Friday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Memorials may be made to the family.
