O'Grady, J. Irene

            Passed away on Friday, September 9, 2011 at Cartwright Care Center.  Age 91 years.

            The daughter of the late Leon and Mary (Dolan) Murray was born on April 15, 1920 in Clear Lake, Iowa.  She was a registered x-ray technician and retired from Dow Medical in 1977.  Irene was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church and a person of deep religious faith.  She was especially devoted to St. Padre Pio.  She married William A. O'Grady on August 31, 1957; he predeceased her on August 7, 2003.   Irene enjoyed crafts, sewing, wool working, painting, and crocheting.  She belonged to Rosario's Rosaries, making over 3,000 rosaries to be sent around the world.  She leaves behind a sister and many nieces and nephews.

            The family would like to thank the Cartwright Care Center's staff and the 5 East floor staff of Covenant Healthcare for their kindness and care to Irene in her last days.

            Funeral liturgy will take place at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 13, 2011 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 1035 N. River Rd.  Fr.
