Florence I. Stein

Pinconning, Michigan

Mrs. Stein age 86, passed away Thursday September 29, 2011 at Bay Shores Nursing Center.  She was born on August 15, 1925 in Caro, Michigan to the late Sanford & Helen (Thompson) Wainscott.  She married Edward Stein on October 6, 1945.  He predeceased her.  Florence was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, the Ladies Auxiliary, and the Pinconning VFW.  She enjoyed quilting, playing cards, cooking, and going to the casino but mostly spending time with her family and friends.  She is survived by her children Rex (Ann) Stein, Roy (Debra) Stein, Sherry (Lyle) Helm, and Shilee Songerath, 19 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.  She was predeceased by her husband a son Harold and a son in law Robert Songerath.

Funeral Mass will be held Monday October 3, 2011 at 11 am from St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Rev. Fr. Joseph Miller presiding with burial in Indian Fields Township Cemetery, Caro, MI.  Friends may call at the Lee-Ramsay Funeral Home on Sunday from 1 to 8 pm.  A Rosary will be held at 3 pm.  On Monday Florence will lie in state at the church from 10 am until time of service.
