Beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother passed away Tuesday, July 31, 2012 at his home at the age of 61 years. Dan was born November 8, 1950 in Saginaw to the late Francis and Gaby Hubbell. He was a 1969 graduate of SS. Peter and Paul High School. He married Jan Sary on September 9, 1972 and she survives him. He served with the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Conflict. Dan had been employed by Eaton Corporation for 29 years. He was an avid sportsman and outdoorsman.
Surviving besides his wife, Jan, are two
sons and one daughter and their spouses, Scott and Stephanie Hubbell, Jason and Lisa Hubbell and Katie and Ben Schanz; his grandchildren, Sydney, Jenna, Cameron, Kennedy, Adalynn and Carter; his brothers and sisters and their spouses, Bill and Cindy Hubbell, Nancy and Greg Klenk, Kathy and Bill Pollard, Rick and Hilda Hubbell, Mike and Carol Hubbell, and Bob and Char Sary; many
great nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his daughter, Heidi, his parents, Francis and Gaby, and his parents-in-law, Joe and Shirley Sary. The family would like to extend special thanks to his caregiver, Katie Thompson and her family.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will take place at 1:00 p.m. Friday, August 3, 2012, at the W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 201 N. Miller Rd. Friends may visit with the family from 5:00 – 9:00 p.m. Thursday and then from 11:00 a.m. Friday until the time of service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider the Hartley Nature Center or the charity of their choice.
