Robert "Precious Metals" Hoerner

July 10th, 1925 - September 17th, 2012

Age: 87 years

Passed away Monday, September 17, 2012 at his daughter Robin’s home. Age 87 years. Bob was born July 10, 1925 in St. Charles to Martin and Caroline (Budzier) Hoerner. He served his country during WWII and the Korean Conflict in the U.S. Navy. Bob was a member of the St. Charles VFW Post 5695 and the Wolverine Sportsman’s Club. He loved working on crossword puzzles, collecting coins and fishing. Bob owned Hoerner Salvage Yard in St. Charles for many years.

 

Surviving are his children and spouses, Robin (Tony) Neitling, Randy (Mary Kay) Hoerner, Sandy (Hoerner) Wilcoxson and Judy (Chuck) White; 14 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; a brother, Richard Hoerner; a niece, nephew and a great niece; a special friend, Scott Gibson and two special pets, Precious and Cookie. He was preceded by his wife, Judy; daughter, Cynthia Sember; three grandsons; and companion, Mary Ann Cramton.

 

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, September 20, 2012 at Kendall Funeral Home, St. Charles. Rev. Jeffrey R. Williams will officiate with cremation to follow. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Wednesday, September 19th from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service
