Mary Grace "Gladys" Milano

May 25th, 1919 - February 21st, 2014

Age: 94 years

Passed away, Friday, February 21, 2014 at Cartwright Hospice Residence. Age 94 years. Gladys was born May 25, 1919 in Attleboro, MA to Giovanni and Maria (DiBrango) DeLitta. She married Peter J. Milano on September 18, 1948. He preceded her on July 20, 1999. Gladys was a member of Mary of the Immaculate Conception Church. She enjoyed knitting, reading and her grandchildren. Gladys worked at Balfour Jewelers in Attleboro, MA and later as a bookkeeper at Richmond Lumber, St. Charles.

 

Surviving are a daughter and spouse, Pamela and Daniel Hawley of Grand Blanc, a son, Jon Milano of St. Charles; two grandchildren, Jared and Heidi Hawley of Swartz Creek, Brad and Jaime Hawley of Las Vegas; four great grandchildren, Dominic, Olivia, Cooper, and Maggie Grace. She was preceded by her husband and brother, Dr. Arnold DeLitta.

 

Special thanks to care giver, Debbie Clark, Cartwright Hospice and special friends, Judy Erdmann, Linda Mendicki, Jennifer, John, Ciara Dusek and Jim Evon.

 

Funeral Mass will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 27, 2014 at Mary of the Immaculate Conception Church, St. Charles. Fr. Nick Coffaro will officiate with entombment in Oakwood Mausoleum, Saginaw. The family will receive visitors at Kendall Funeral Home on Wednesday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. and at the church on Thursday from 10:00 a.m until time of service. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Cartwright Hospice.
